我回来了 i am back

i am not in the mood to write much.

i am happy to be in my own room again. i missed it. i missed the german weather. but i miss the air conditions. i miss hearing people talking in chinese. i miss english tv (i will let my mom take my tv back to osna).
it's so quiet here.
haven't been alone for more than 6 weeks.

one last photo for you

maybe i will rename this blog and continue....

三天,十六个小时 3days, 16hours

after that i will be back in germany, i will be back home, i will be where my family and my friends are!

haven't written anything for so long now it's difficult to start again. especially because i havn't written english for so long.
we watch english tv every day but we don't speak english. i think when i will have a job and more money, no matter where i will live, i wan't to have english pay-tv. i have some favorite stations here as "travel&living", "discovery" and "national geographic". "travel&living" has so much design shows, i just love it!!!

last friday (oh, that's almost a week ago!) C and i again visited the 101. and on saturday some of us played paint-ball. again it was a stupid group activity but i didn't want to sit in hotel by myself waiting all day for the others to return. so i just came along to take photos.

first the 101's

north side (i hope that's right, but i think so)

hm, they are all north or north-east, strange

the taiwan culture university has some students and graduates working in the bureau for foreign students. they helped us with the hotel and organized the field-trips. on saturday at 12am we met with them and their friend and our home-stay girls at shilin mrt station. (we got off the hotel at 11!!). then we had to go by taxi in 4 groups because the paint-ball thing is up in the hills.
the moment our taiwanese "chief girl" told the driver the address i could tell by the look on his face that he didn't have a clue where that place was. but he didn't say a word. so he took the wrong way twice and we arrived later. but then we still had to wait for the taiwanese students!
the place was kinda strange. it was in the hills and it almost looked like a rain forest. there were a little river, small waterfalls and you could hear strange insect's sounds. we followed a path leading to the main building where they had all the protection suits, helms and other stuff and the paint-ball guns.
they explained every single stupid detail for about an hour before they got on the field. that was boring. the field looked boring too but i think they had fun.
but one of my classmates broke his leg near his knuckles . he got to hospital, had a surgery, two screws in his bones and will fly home at sunday. his plan was to make a trip around taiwan with C and the other boys.
i think it would be the worst thing for me to have to go to a chinese hospital. i know they are not that bad but i don't trust them. but i don't trust german doctors neither.

now the photos!!

淡水 danshui

the club "wax" we went to on wednesday was so cool. similar to western clubs. we got to seat in the vip-area next to the dj. it was all you can drink and to that the owner gave us an extra bottle of expensive tequila! D (because it was his birthday) had to make a strip with one of the girls on a little stage. he put off everything! we all had a good laugh :D
the next day was awfull! C and i didn't feel very good. we slept until 1pm, ate something and then slept again until 5pm.
unisversity on friday was boring again. but after two hours we went to tianxing temple. here some pics (i didn't bing my own cam, it's M's but i took the pics!)

i don't like him.

my teacher! he's really funny :)

today we visited a little town in the north of taipei. it took about 40minutes by subway to get there. it was so hot and loud and smelly and full of taiwanese tourists! the town is next to a river with mountains in the background. so that was really beautiful. but all the shops were just for tourists. we walked around for at most two hours but i took nice pics :)

we were making group photos and everyboday was watching us!!

river and mountains

大安区 daan district

this post is jumbled, sorry.

there is a big shopping area we walked trough near 101 today. we went by bus instead of taking the subway to see more of the city. again i bought some little things for my sister. i think next week i will send another packet to osnabrück. the last 4 days there was no rain. the sun was shining a lot and it had been so hot outside. without the air conditions i'ld die! but today it rained a little! we didn't have a umbrella so we got back to the hotel.

i like taipei more and more. it's really differrent here. people still stare at me, but i don't feel uncomfortable. in germany taking pictures on the street was hard for me. but here it's no problem cause everybody is looking at me anyway. i am free.

there are so many streets with shops selling the same things next to another. for example in ximen district there are at least 30 tiny stores for shoes, jewelry and clothes. i think that's really strange but it seems to work. and every street has a 7eleven, digi mart or familiy mart. it's crazy!
last tuesday we had our extra-class with taiwanese students again. this time our girl was really lame. we just sat there not knowing what to talk about. so we started to ask her some questions. she told us that most students here live together with their parents. and that they normally spend the weekends at home chilling and watching tv. they don't go out!
some of our group are staying at taiwanese families. they told me they are watching tv all the time too. especially the daily soaps.

well, here are some of the photos i took today

i don't know what that white cube-thing is. there were two of it in the middle of the street

this is the crossing(?)

a REALLY strange dog. he was traped on this little space. i guess the owners were inside the cafe you can see in the background, but i'm not sure

the contrast between the modern and seamy houses is huge!

the boys are obsessed by monkeys at the moment so C asked me to take a pic

i found another one

a hello kitty car (what is the right name?)

one more strange car

and another one (this pic sucks :(, sorry)

again a nice contrast. jeweller and an imbiss
