上个星期 last week

last week was so... grah. university takes so much time! i didn't take one single photo!

last friday everyone was asked to say something about himself, taiwan or the university while they were filming it. this time at least a few people didn't do it. me neither of course. on tuesday i got the confirm it was the right decision. by taxi we got to the ministry of education. there were students from two other foreign universities.... argh, it was so stupid!! i have to write it in german.

die haben da einen werbespot oder sowas in der art gemacht. wir, beziehungsweise die die mitgemacht haben, haben ein t-shirt von der uni bekommen (das nebenbei total kindisch aussah) und haben eine kongfu-show präsentiert. die woche vorher hatten wir ja das training (da wussten wir noch nicht den wahren grund.). zuerst sind alle auf die "bühne", mussten winken, lächeln und den daumen hochhalten. das war so künstlich! total psycho! C hat diesmal zum glück nicht mitgemacht. sonst wär ich wirklich ausgerastet. danach haben die ihre show geprobt. die von den anderen unis auch. ein paar leute haben nochmal was zu taiwan und der uni oder so gesagt (natürlich auf chinesisch). und das was in der uni aufgenommen wurde, konnte man sich auch anschauen. netterweise haben die auch ein paar versprecher und aussetzer gezeigt. ganz toll.
ich bin nach 2 stunden einfach gegangen. der typ mit der kamera hat auch immer wieder in publikum geschwenkt. bei der entgültigen aufnahmen war ich also nicht dabei. zum glück.
einfach krank was die leute mit sich machen lassen....
ha, ich seh grad die anderen haben bilder gemacht. ich klau mal welche :)



the rest of the week was a bit boring. we didn't do anything special. just found a new restaurant. really nice place.
tomorrow we will go wash some of our clothes. and we want to visit the zoo and the museum of contemporary art.

寺 temples

today i visited four temples together with S and E. they are all in the same area so we didn't have to walk far. we got there by bus and then walked a round. her is a map:

4th: dizang temple; at first we didn't find it and i asked a woman. then two other man tried to help us and the three more came. S took pics i will show you soon. it was so funny. they were arguing a little but finally we found it :)



i will have to write another essay for tomorrow... bleh.
it's strange... sometimes i have chinese sentences in mind when i write a blogentry. some things are easier to say in chinese i think. :)

一零一 101 II

so, 101...
this time it took so long to get there because we where about 15. you always need more time when you are in a group. i don't like that.
so we arrived at 6.15pm and it was already getting a little dark. there weren't so many people so we always found a good place at the window to take pictures. C got my camcorder, i have to look at what he recorded tomorrow and then upload another film. he also took some pics with my cam.
it was so much fun and i felt so happy! it's just a building but i loooove it! just walking around there is great too. we got home at about 10pm. my feet hurt so much!

today i went to ximen 西门 with C to buy some cloth. i found a pair of trousers, and two t-shirt. one is for you Lennart, i hope you'll like it :) also bought a little bag. C wanted to buy shoes but he didn't found what he was looking for... we came home after 3 and a half hour and again my feet hurt so much!! we slept until 6.20pm, weired... after that we got two big cappuccino from ikari and i ate so much! my belly is so big now O.o

一零一 101 I

yeah! we got there a little late and it was already getting dark. i f*ed up most of the pics. i don't really know why... i don't have a stativ.
but it was great!! i love 101! .... more tomorrow. i need to get some sleep now!

夜市 nightmarket

yesterday was just another boring day at university. and we had to go to an eslite bookstore to interview two people. it was very embarrassing but i did it!
to that M (in Würzburg he's in C's class) was very mean to me. maybe he didn't want to... anyway i've decided not to speak to him for a couple of days.

around 6pm C and i went to a nightmarket. it wasn't as great and cheap as we expected. it was loud, smelly and strenuous. i took some pics in the streets near by i don't really like. but here are some.








today we had our extra lesson with taiwanese students. i really enjoy talking with them but after 4 hours of class everybody is tired. i was in a group with 3 of my classmates. they didn't understand much of what the taiwanese student tried to tell us but i almost understood everything :)
sorry for not writing so much. i'm very tired and i have to do so much homework! T.T

愚 stupid

today the uni offert us a kongfu lesson. everybody is taking part. it's so stupid! they don't even think about not to. they live after rules that don't exist! i don't get it! even though they never tried befor and won't continue. it's just to blame yourself in front of the others. besides i got a cold, so i went home alone. i know, later they all will tell me how much fun it was *pukes*
but i am happy to have overcome myself this morning and went to class.

today i will rest to get ok again and learn some more vokabulary. i am soo tired and kind of floppy. ha, maybe C will get me something to eat so i don't have to leave the bed :)

next saturday we will get up on 101 and i will take some spectacular photos!

today was quite boring. in the morning C and i went to ikari coffee for breakfast. i ate a big, fat slice of warm toast with peanutbutter for 50cent. it's my favorite breakfast here! (i should take a pic next time)
after that C and i walked to chiank kaishek memorial hall (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiang_Kai-shek) because i wanted to take some photos and it wasn't raining.
but there's a small lake and i was melting away because of the even higher humidity!

i walked out into the typhoon, risked my life, got a little wet just to take some pics :)
there are such few people outside! if you have watched the videos you've seen how many pedestrians, cars and motor scooters normally are on the streets. in taipei the typhoon is just a little wind and rain. but because of the warning everybody seems to prefer to stay inside.
we leave the hotel just to get something to eat. by the time i really miss cooking or making something to eat myself. or just eating something fresh. i think next time we go to carrefour i will buy some fruit.

i love the traffic lights here! there's a green man walking and the time is counting down. (you might see that in the last post's video.) and the motor scootors have a little space in front of the cars. this way it's more save for them i think.
and really like the underground paying system. it's the same as in tokyo. you need a card or ship to go in and out a station.

台风来了 the typhoon arrived

jep, it's there and it will be the worst typhoon in taiwan ever!! we have thunders, flashes and a lot of rain. it's incredible!! unfortunalety it's getting dark now but i will make a short film for you in a minute.
university is over, at least for this week. i'll have to learn all new vokabulary on the weekend. i hope we won't have a power blackout or no water!
C is now at carrefour with some other classmates to buy some things for the weekend. they sure are all wet now :) we don't know if we can go outside. for me it's very exciting but some of the girls are really anxious. the typhoon is supposed to last about 12hours.

电影！movies!

yay!!! i am sooo stupid!!! yesterday i tried to upload a 170mb video to youtube and got angry because it didn't work. but i just found out how to compress my videos with imovie! lalala!! i will upload one video to a previous post in a few minutes!!
university is still boring and very strenuous. today we additionally had two hours of private lessons in small groups with taiwanese students.
........
ok, now it's up on youtube but still prosessing. i will put in here tomorrow. sorry.
i am tired.
will write some more exciting things for you on the weekend.

大学 uni

on monday our university class started. we have class from 10am to 3pm. and we get homework. it is so much to do! every morning i am waking up and really really don't want to go. i understand most of what they say and i'm not the stupiest student in class but it just is no fun!
we have one hour to eat and we get free meal. that's ok. we have to talk alot with each other and sometimes the teacher asks something. it's all very loose but in the end we get points for everything and a testimony.

i don't have more time now, have to write an essay for tomorrow...

台北 101 and moving

argh, the evening yesterday really wasn't for me. at first everything was fine. i went to 101 with C, D and M. we walked from taipei city hall (subway-station) to take some pics from the distance and just to see a little bit more.
suddenly when i tried to change the cassette my camcorder didn't want to work because of the high humidity. (later it was working again but made stripes on the recording. one cassette is alright now, i'll check the other one later...). i will go on top of 101 another time and take pics.
well... first we looked around the shops in 101 and finally ate something from different shops in the B1 ground. we got a 1l sprite for just 90€at mcdonald's there we didn't eat anything)!
the food wasn't expensive either. after that we walked an other way back to the subway station to get home.
we wanted to meet with the rest of our group at 10 pm to go somewhere and have a drink. i'll skip a short part here.... but finally we just walked around to end up in a disgusting karaoke-bar. it was a step down from the street and full of cockroaches, ugh! there were some taiwanese who sang... boring and no fun.

today we moved to our final hotel where we will stay the next 6 weeks. here is a photo out of my and C's room.

we even have a little refrigerator and a big tv with 100 channels! we chilled until 7 pm and then went to a small restaurant. they served everything on paper plates and you had to choose from different sorts of meat and vegetables. again it was very cheap. then we wanted to drink a beer somewhere but once again ended up just walking around. finally the boys bought some beer at the 7eleven next to our hotel. they sat down in the 3rd floor lobby to drink and talk, i just went in our room to watch tv.
